Dr. Zhou grew up in Ningbo, a beautiful city in Zhejiang province, China. He got M.D. from Zhejiang University and Internal Medicine Ph.D. from Peking Union Medical College. After postdoctoral training at Boston Children’s Hospital, he moved to Chinese Academy of Sciences in Shanghai to set up an independent research group. His lab mainly uses genetic lineage tracing to understand cell fate plasticity in development and diseases. He likes marathon, soccer, swimming, and classical guitar.
